21-Day Kindness Project: Day 21

If stories come to you, care for them.  And learn to give them away…Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive.

Share Your Story With Friends:

Think back over the past 20 days and the unexpected or inspirational stories that you have been a part of, and share one with a friend or acquaintance.  You had the courage to step out of your comfort zone and undoubtedly have had encounters that have opened hearts – yours and others.

How often is it that we hear a story on the news or online that causes us to feel upset or outrage.  So much of our media and what grabs our attention are the negative stories of hatred and injustice.  But though it tends to get less attention, there is an amazing force of kindness in the world.  Hidden from the spotlight, everyday people are making tremendous contributions toward the common good.  So share one of your own stories, or pick an uplifting story from the news, or a quote that inspires you, and share it with someone.   Or several people.

In this way, we can lift each other up.  Hearing stories of kindness and positive actions often inspire us to step out of the mundane and the routine, and look for ways to send our own creative kindness out into the world.  And when we reflect on our stories of kindness, we see that we really can play a significant role in changing the world, one kind act at a time!
